Virtual Event on Tuesday 17 May 2022

The Association of Institutions for Tropical Veterinary Medicine (AITVM), the Society for Tropical Veterinary Medicine (STVM) and the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) cordially invite you to join us online on Tuesday 17 May 2022 from 12:00 to 15:00 CET.

During this virtual event, keynote lectures will be given on the theme: “The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tropical veterinary medicine education and research”.

The keynote lectures will be followed by a session dedicated to young researchers in which they can highlight their research in the field of tropical veterinary medicine and international animal health in “flash talks” (5-minute presentation & 2-minute questions).

For MSc and PhD students wishing to present their research, please follow the above link to submit your abstract (max. 250 words) as well. The deadline for abstract submission is 20 March 2022. All abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee for their scientific quality. A maximum of ten abstracts will be selected for presentation at the event. Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their abstracts by 15 April 2022. If the abstract is accepted for a flash presentation, the authors will be required to send a pre-recorded presentation of max. 5 minutes by 10 May 2022. The presenters should be available to engage in discussion with the participants by answering to participants’ questions during the event. The best presenter will be receive a travel award for the next joint AITVM-STVM conference held in Montpellier, France in May 2023!
