The aim of the AITVM 2013 Conference

A major concern in terms of animal health and production is the fact that, depending on the setting and the environment, the close association of people and domestic or wild animals represents an important risk factor for direct or indirect transmission of disease in man and animals. In turn, disease occurrence has an adverse effect on food safety and food security in general. The aim of the conference is to address the ‘One Health’ issues pertaining to a healthier environment in cities and rural areas.
